英訳:
1.Mr. Fujita, the ex-CEO of E-homes (an independent construction inspection firm), warned the public last Thursday that there are a few (just a few? how many?) condominiums not meeting earthquake-resistance standards, and local government permitted the construction even though they were aware of the faults after reviewing the company blueprints..
2.Despite his public announcement at a televised press conference, his warning has not been picked up by any major Japanese media outlet.
3.The press conference was held just after he was found guilty of falsifying financial statements from his company to obtain a license from the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ministry. He admitted his guilt, but also claimed that he was arrested for a small crime unrelated to construction fraud because the Japanese authorities are afraid he would reveal more corruption derived from the collusion between politicians, officers and construction firms.
4.His claim should be clarified immediately; however, the Japanese media or government may possibly ignore his important statement.
5.His claims last Thursday are as follows.
1) Public officers in the Kawasaki city government had approved defective construction plans even though they knew that the construction did not meet earthquake resistance standards.
2) A famous design office runs their business without any certificated architects on the payroll.
3) Mr. Ojima and Mr. Fujita were used as scapegoats for much larger crimes. He admits they are both guilty because of their negligence, but there are other parties with much more responsiblity and greater crimes to focus on.
