Thin Lizzy have parted company with Guitarist / Vocalist John Sykes.
Thin Lizzy guitarist and main stay - Scott Gorham-
"It's been a very tough of late for myself and the band, firstly with drummer Tommy Aldridge's injury and now the subsequent decision for John and the rest of the group to go their separate ways. I can only apologize to everyone who has supported us over the years, but we will be back up to full speed soon"
Scott Gorham intends to announce future plans for Thin Lizzy shortly. All Thin Lizzy shows confirmed for 2009 will be cancelled or postponed until further notice.
ということで、Thin Lizzyからジョン・サイクスが脱退したみたいですね。ジョンのMySpaceを見てたら、脱退は悲しいけどBlue Murder再結成を望むファンのコメントが多かったです。ていうかジョンはソロ名義だろうとBlue MurderだろうとライブではThin LizzyやWhitesnake時代の曲演奏しますよね・・・。
ジョンのライブが観られればどのバンドでもいいけど、Thin Lizzyでのライブを一度観たかったです・・・。来日しないかなあ。
あと、スコット・ゴーハムは上のメッセージからもいい人っぷりが伝わってきます。ジョンは大好きなミュージシャンだけど、今回の脱退はツアーも決まっているのに投げ出した感があります。まあ、本当の理由はわからないので勝手なことを一方的に言うのはフェアではないですが・・・。
