I went to Cusco by air plane. Originally I thought I would get on the bus, but it takes long time"24~26 hours".
I was worried about mountain sickness. When I arrived at the airport, my heart pounded, and It was a little bit harder to breath than normal.
The altitude is about 3600m.
The sunshine was strong and I felt the sky was closer.
Cusco used to be a capital city in Inca term. There are still many historical buildings which were made by stone. The centro of Cusco is so touristic though.
I was staying at home-stay house in Cusco, and I went to a language school.
The house was big and clean, and they served nice food.
In Peru, lunch is most important, and biggest. Most people go home to have lunch during their work. But I wanted to hang around in Cusco city, so mostly I passed lunch at home though.
Spanish lessons were very interesting to me. I had Spanish classes from 8:30 to 1:00. I don't have any Spanish background, so it was very first time to learn it from teachers. The school is quite small. I applied for the group lessons, but I could take private. I think it's because there were not enough students which had same level. Anyway, it was lucky for me.
I felt a little bit sick for first few days, so I couldn't walk around so much. After 3~4 days, finally I tried to visit at some museums and make some plans to go other places.
I joined the city tour and the secret Vally tour" Both are English guide tours" In the city tour, we went to Sacsayhuaman which is one of the fortress near Cusco in Inca time.
It was huge! I wondered how they made it. The structure is very precise.
I was impressed about the history.
